Born as the third of four children, he was raised in Chicago’s western suburbs. A graduate of Marmion Academy, Dr. Clark continued his education at the University of Colorado in Boulder studying molecular biology and biochemistry. After graduating college, Dr. Clark taught high school biology and coached football for a few years prior to starting dental studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. Completion of orthodontic residency at the University of Rochester-Eastman Dental Center in Rochester, NY and a fellowship in craniofacial orthodontics at the University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago provided extensive training in orthodontics, facial growth and craniofacial dysmorphology. These experiences provided the foundation for becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics in 2007 and recently in renewal of Dr. Clark’s board certified status in 2014.

Melissa is our clinical coordinator/lead assistant and has been working with Dr. Clark for almost 10 years. Her favorite part of the job is getting to know each patient on a more personal level and having fun with them every time they’re in the office. And a bonus, if you have a dog and bring a picture with you to your appointment, you’re sure to make her day! Melissa enjoys spending her free time with her 2 dogs and husband, and is excited to welcome her first baby girl soon. She loves to meet new people so never hesitate to say hello!
Lauretta began her career in orthodontics in 2015 at Clark Orthodontics. She has been our Treatment Coordinator for the last 4 years. Meeting new families and educating them about orthodontics and our practice is what she likes best about her position. Prior to orthodontics, Lauretta worked in education as a Special Education Teacher. This experience in education, working with children and families, has allowed for an easy transition into treatment coordination.
Marcie began at Clark Orthodontics in 2015. Her organizational skills have benefited our staff and patients as she has streamline numerous processes and experiences, making Clark Ortho a happier place for all who enter our doors. Her artistic touches are seen inside and outside of Clark Ortho as she helps to keep our office decorated, no matter which season of the year.
Ingrid joined the Clark Orthodontics team in February 2017 and is our Insurance/Financial Coordinator. She loves meeting new people and helping our patients and their families maximize the most of their insurance benefit. In her free time, Ingrid enjoys gardening, spending time with her family, and taking her dog Ozzy for long walks.
Stephanie joined Clark Orthodontics team in 2018 and she loves the friendships she has made in this office. Steph became a dental assistant because she is passionate about making people feel confidence through their smile. It’s very rewarding to make a difference in patients’ life. When not working, she is either playing outside with her two dogs or watching Netflix. But her main focus is studying to pursue her next goal in life: to be a Speech Language Pathologist.
Terri is our Clinical Assistant. Bio coming soon!
I became an orthodontic assistant because I love being able to help treat so many people every day and to be able to watch their growth, not only with their smile, but as people throughout their treatment. I enjoy the friendships I have made not only in the office but also with patients. When not at work, I enjoy working on my farm, cooking, and attending school to be a Constructional Engineer.
After working as a general dental chair-side assistant, I was given the opportunity to become an orthodontic assistant. I worked in another orthodontic practice for two years before joining Dr. Clark’s team in August of 2021. I enjoy meeting new patients and making them feel comfortable and welcome as they complete their orthodontic treatment.
